What is the difference between our program and elementary school?
● The child learns only when he is ready.
● No child is ever forced to sit and learn.
● At this stage in his development, the dangers of premature teaching are great.
Such dangers include:
● Creating tension
● Instilling a lasting dislike of school
● Giving the very young child the feeling he is a failure
The entire nursery school program is based on the widely help philosophy that pre-schoolers are not developmentally ready for a structured teaching program.
Learning readiness is dependent upon physical development, linguistic development, emotional and social development, and intellectual and experiential development.
A good pre-school program is designed to meet the individual child at his own level of growth in these areas, and help him in whatever areas seem necessary
